Decade of Genomics in India - Implications in the Diagnosis and Prevention of Inherited Diseases

Dr Sridhar Sivasubbu spoke at the 45th Annual Meeting of the Indian Society of Human Genetics at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai on the Decade of Personal Genomics in India and how it has impacted the diagnosis of inherited genetic diseases. 
Dr Sivasubbu explained the GUaRDIAN consortium on Rare Genetic Diseases which encompasses over 70 centres and over 280 clinician collaborators across the country. He also spoke on how the Genomics research at CSIR IGIB has created an ecosystem for Genomics in the country working closely with industries and through actively engaging clinicians, patients and patient support groups.
