An outreach programme and Workshop on Indian Population : Health and Scope of Research was conducted at Vinobha Bhave University,Hazaribagh , Jharkhand as part of #IndiGen programme

The programme featured talks by Dr Mitali Mukerji, Dr Sridhar Sivasubbu and Dr Vinod Scaria from the CSIR Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology in Delhi.

The workshop was inaugurated by Prof Sharan , renowned economist and Vice Chancellor of the University. Prof Sharan urged students to think of alternate models in healthcare and discussed the wide disparities in healthcare provision and delivery.

Over 120 individuals including students and faculty members participated in the workshop. The workshop drew participation from over 7 universities
