Workshop on Population Identification, Field work and Sample Collection for GenomeIndia Project

The 1st Workshop on Population Identification, Field work and Sample Collection for GenomeIndia Project commenced today at CSIR Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (CSIR IGIB) South Campus , Mathura Road, Delhi.

The workshop is part of the GenomeIndia programme funded by the Department of Biotechnology , Government of India. The programme is aimed at creating the genetic landscape of the country. 

Prof Ganga Nath Jha, Head of the department of Anthropology at Vinoba Bhave University,  Hazaribagh and a prominent expert in genetic anthropology led the workshop.
